Wednesday Mar 24, 2021
Wednesday Mar 24, 2021
Eric and Pastor Clay connect to talk about Sunday's message on Matthew 8 and focus on the fact that some of the brokenness we experience has nothing to do with Covid-19. How do we respond; how do we hold on to hope when everything says it's hopeless? We do it by putting ourselves in the position of the disciples and marveling at Jesus: "Who is this in my boat that even the winds and waves obey?" Jesus is with you.

Series: Holy Vessels
Scripture: Matthew 8:24-27
As we near the end of the season of Lent, we acknowledge that we cannot talk about every healing story of Jesus or everywhere we see the brokenness of the world. During the message, Pastor Clay focuses on the devastating storm, the disciples, and on Jesus. We look to the testimony of scripture to seek solutions and restoration in the story of Jesus calming the storm.

Scripture: Matthew 9:18-26
The earliest days of the pandemic were met with a creative and innovative energy. But as the months have rolled on, our creativity and curiosity lapsed to the point that the only thing we are still doing is binge-watching content on our favorite streaming services. As we continue this message series on naming brokenness and reclaiming wholeness from Jesus, Pastor Clay helps us think about what it would look like to claim our healing in Jesus' name.

A note about the audio: Pastor Clay's microphone died about halfway through. We have identified the problem and will be fixing it going forward. Thanks for sticking with us!

Sunday Message: Holy Vessels: Stories
Sunday Mar 07, 2021
Sunday Mar 07, 2021
Series: Holy Vessels
Scripture: Matthew 9:27-31
One of the most important things that has been broken by the pandemic has been our mental health. Across all ages and experiences, no one has endured this thing completely okay. As we name that brokenness, Jesus heals us and by telling about our struggles, Jesus can heal others, too. Our stories are powerful, holy, and healing.

Cut for Time: The Centurion and the Servant
Wednesday Mar 03, 2021
Wednesday Mar 03, 2021
Eric and Pastor Clay sat down to talk about our loss of community in the midst of the pandemic and how to heal the brokenness we've experienced by taking our example from the centurion in Matthew's gospel that sought healing for his servant. We have the ability to live his example, but it is hard. Pastor Clay also talks a little bit about what's coming up in the sermon next week.
Eric's mic pack died half way through the conversation, but we hope you enjoy the episode anyway.

Scripture: Matthew 8:5-13
Our Lenten season of recovery continues as we deal with one of the unintentional losses from the pandemic: our loss of community. We have had to find creative ways to be "there" for one another in the midst of distancing and staying home, but being flexible starts to hurt after awhile. With our sense of community damaged, Jesus reminds us that all are in God's safe keeping.
