Lent is a season with its own heaviness, with the reminder of our mortality and insistence on penitence. When you add that to the heaviness of normal life, it can add up to the point that we don't know where to turn. David, the great king of Israel, found himself in the same situation at several different points in his life, and each time he turned to God.
